How Your PCP Claim Works
Six clear steps from checking eligibility to receiving compensation — all handled online with no upfront costs.
Check Your Eligibility
< 2 minutesUse our free online checker to tell us about your PCP or HP agreement. You'll need to know the approximate date you took out the finance, the lender's name, and the type of vehicle. If you're not sure, we can help you find out.
We check agreements taken out between 2007 and 2021 for cars, motorbikes, and vans.
We Review Your Agreement
1–3 daysOnce you submit your details, our specialist team reviews the agreement for signs of a discretionary commission arrangement or other forms of mis-selling. We check whether the dealer earned an undisclosed commission by setting a higher interest rate.
You'll receive a clear assessment of whether your claim appears viable.
You Authorise Us to Act
Online, 5 minutesIf your claim looks valid, we will send you a digital Terms of Engagement to review and sign. This authorises us to act on your behalf with the lender. You can read the full terms at any time — they set out exactly what happens and what fees apply if successful.
No phone calls required. The entire authorisation process is handled online.
We Contact Your Lender
OngoingWe submit the complaint to your lender on your behalf, referencing the FCA's investigation into discretionary commission arrangements. The lender is required to investigate and respond.
Under current FCA guidance, lenders have extended timescales to respond given the scale of the investigation.
The Redress Scheme Opens
Expected 2025–2026The FCA is consulting on an industry-wide motor finance redress scheme. Once the scheme is confirmed and open, eligible consumers — including those represented by a CMC like us — will receive their compensation. We keep you informed at every stage.
The FCA's August 2025 statement confirmed the scheme is intended to ensure consumers are compensated fairly.
You Receive Compensation
VariableIf your claim is successful, you will receive compensation. Our success fee is deducted from the compensation amount — you never pay out of pocket. If the compensation is used to offset an existing debt with the lender, our fee may still apply even if no cash reaches you directly.
This debt-offset scenario is explained fully in our Terms of Engagement before you sign.
Common Questions
What if my claim is unsuccessful?
If we don't recover any compensation for you, you pay nothing. Our no win, no fee model means our success is tied directly to yours.
How long does the whole process take?
The submission takes under 2 minutes. The lender review and FCA scheme opening timeline means full resolution could take 12–24 months. We will keep you updated throughout.
Do I need the original finance documents?
Not necessarily. We can help you gather information about your agreement. The lender is required to hold records of your agreement and to provide them on request.
Can I claim for multiple vehicles?
Yes. If you had multiple PCP or HP agreements between 2007 and 2021, you may be eligible to claim on each one. We handle multiple claims in a single process.
